Frequently asked questions

Preguntas frecuentes y Términos y Condiciones

Welcome, and thank you for being here. This page answers the questions we hear most often about FILIPPAROSE.shop, the FILIPPA ROSE art and print shop, where original artworks by FILIPPA ROSE become made-to-order clothing, accessories, home and wall art.

If your question isn't answered here, please write to us at shop@filipparose.art or see our Contact Information page. We're always happy to help.

This FAQ may be updated as the FILIPPA ROSE project grows. Our policies always take precedence.

Terms & Policies

Where can I find the shop's terms and policies?

All of our policies are kept together in one place:

By using FILIPPAROSE.shop you agree to these terms. All artwork, designs and collection names are protected, so please don't reproduce them without our written permission (see Legal Notice).

What is FILIPPAROSE.shop?

FILIPPAROSE.shop is the online art shop of FILIPPA ROSE. Each piece starts as an original painting, watercolour or photograph by FILIPPA ROSE and is printed on demand, only once you order it. The shop is run by INVESTHOLISTA S.A.P.I. DE C.V. in Bacalar, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Shopify hosts the storefront and the secure checkout, and your purchase is made with INVESTHOLISTA S.A.P.I. DE C.V. (see Legal Notice).

To see the full gallery and the stories behind the artwork, visit the artist's portfolio at FILIPPAROSE.art.

What kinds of products and collections can I find?

You'll find unisex, women's, men's and kids' clothing, fitness and swimwear, accessories, travel and pet pieces, home décor, and prints on paper, canvas and metal. Each collection grows from one body of work, for example EQUUS, DECRYPTIONS, ABSTRAKT Pink Explosion, Blue Valley, SUBAQUA SCAPE, COSTERA BACALAR, FleurAls and GORKing. You can browse by category or by collection on our collections page.

How can I stay up to date with new collections?

Shop

How does ordering work?

Browse by category or collection, choose your product, size, colour or variant, and add it to your cart. Checkout is handled securely by Shopify. You'll see the shipping options, shipping cost and any taxes before you pay, and you'll receive an order confirmation by email. As soon as your order is confirmed, your piece goes into production just for you.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Our checkout shows the payment methods available for your country and order. These currently include major cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro), PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Which currency are prices in, and how are taxes and duties handled?

Prices are shown and charged in US dollars (USD). If your card or account uses another currency, your bank or payment provider may convert the amount and may charge a fee. Prices don't include taxes, shipping, or customs and import charges unless stated otherwise (see Terms of Service). Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout from your shipping address. Customs duties and import taxes, where they apply, are set by your country and are usually paid on delivery. See "Will I have to pay customs or import fees?"

Do you offer gift wrapping or a gift message?

We don't offer gift wrapping at the moment. If your order is a gift and you'd like a short note included, please write to us at shop@filipparose.art straight after ordering, before production starts, and we'll do our best.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Because every piece is made just for you, production starts very soon after you order. If you need to change something (size, colour, product or address) or cancel, please email shop@filipparose.art as soon as possible with your order number. We can change or cancel an order only before production starts. Once production has started, the products can't be changed or cancelled, though the delivery address can sometimes still be updated until the parcel ships. After shipping, the address can't be changed (see Shipping Policy).

How long will my order take?

Your delivery time has two parts:

  • Production: usually 2–5 business days. The day you order doesn't count, and weekends and holidays aren't included.
  • Shipping: this depends on where your piece is made and where it's going. As a guide, standard shipping usually takes about 3–4 business days within the United States, and about 5–20 business days for international deliveries, including to Europe. Where express is offered at checkout, it usually takes 1–3 business days after production.
  • Mexico: orders for Mexico are usually made by our production partner in the United States and shipped internationally, so please allow about 7–25 business days in total for standard delivery (production plus shipping). Import taxes (IVA) or duties may be charged on delivery.

When your order ships, we'll email you a tracking link. All times are estimates, not guarantees. Busy seasons, stock, customs and carriers can add a few days (see Shipping Policy).

Where are your products made?

Our products are made on demand by our production partner, Printful, in the facility best placed for your order. Printful runs in-house fulfilment centres in the United States (Charlotte, North Carolina, and the Dallas area, Texas), Mexico (Tijuana), Canada (Toronto area), Spain (Barcelona), Latvia (Riga) and the United Kingdom (Birmingham area), plus partner facilities in Brazil, Japan and Australia. Making pieces closer to you helps shorten shipping times and lower shipping emissions.

Will everything in my order arrive together?

Not always. Some products travel in their own protective packaging and may be shipped separately, such as hats, backpacks, mugs, stickers, stuffed pillows, posters, framed posters, canvases, water bottles and notebooks. Items made in different facilities also ship separately. You'll receive tracking for each parcel.

How can I track my order?

When your order is on its way, we'll send you a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. Click it to follow your parcel. It can take up to 48 hours for the first tracking update to appear, and international parcels can take a little longer. If something doesn't look right, write to us at shop@filipparose.art and we'll gladly help.

Will I have to pay customs or import fees?

It depends on where your order ships from and to. Cross-border orders may be charged import duties, taxes (such as VAT or IVA) and carrier handling fees by the destination country. Unless checkout shows them as included, they aren't part of our price and are paid by you on delivery. See our Terms of Service. If you're unsure, your local customs office can tell you what to expect.

What if my order arrives damaged, misprinted or defective?

We're so sorry if that happens. Please email shop@filipparose.art within 30 days of receiving your order, with your order number and clear photos: the whole item, plus a close-up of the problem showing part of the design. Please keep the item, as there's usually no need to send it back. Once the issue is confirmed, we'll send you a free replacement or a refund (see Refund Policy).

This 30-day window is how our replacement service works. It doesn't limit any legal guarantee you have under your local law (for example the 2-year EU legal guarantee or your rights under Mexican consumer law). Where the law lets you choose between a replacement and a refund, the choice is yours.

What if my parcel is late or lost?

Delivery estimates can occasionally slip. If the estimated delivery date on your tracking page has passed, please allow about 3 more business days. If it still hasn't arrived, write to us at shop@filipparose.art with your order number. Please tell us within 30 days so we can claim with the carrier. If tracking shows the parcel was delivered but you can't find it, please check with neighbours and your local post office first. In that case a claim may need to be made with the carrier. We can't guarantee delivery to P.O. boxes (see Shipping Policy).

Can I return or exchange an item?

Because each piece is printed on demand, we don't offer change-of-mind returns or exchanges beyond what the law requires. This doesn't affect your statutory rights.

EU/UK: you may withdraw within 14 days of receiving your order without giving a reason. Tell us at shop@filipparose.art (you can use our withdrawal form), then return the item within 14 days. We'll refund the price plus standard delivery within 14 days of your notice (we may wait until the item or proof of return arrives). Return shipping is at your cost. This doesn't apply to custom or personalised pieces made at your request.

Mexico: under the Ley Federal de Protección al Consumidor you may revoke your purchase within 5 business days of delivery; return shipping and insurance are at your cost.

Brazil: you may cancel within 7 days of receiving your order.

Wherever you are, please contact us before sending anything back so we can give you the right return address.

Returns go to the facility of our production partner that made your order (for example Coppell, Texas, USA for orders made in the US or Mexico; Sant Climent de Llobregat, Spain or Mārupe, Latvia for EU orders; Wolverhampton, UK for UK orders). We'll email you the exact return address after we receive your withdrawal or return notice. This address accepts returned products only. Please send letters, withdrawal notices and other mail to shop@filipparose.art or to our office.

If an address is incomplete or a parcel goes unclaimed, the carrier sends it back to us and reshipping costs apply. If we can't reach you within 30 days, unclaimed parcels may be donated to charity. If something arrives damaged, misprinted or defective, see "What if my order arrives damaged, misprinted or defective?"

How do I contact you?

We'd love to hear from you. Email shop@filipparose.art and include your order number if you have one. We aim to reply within 1–2 business days. You'll find our full details on our Contact Information page.

Sustainability

How does FILIPPAROSE.shop care for the planet?

Sustainability is close to our heart. Because every piece is made only after you order it, there's no overproduction and no warehouse of unsold stock. Our production partner prints with water-based inks and ships many orders from facilities close to their destination.

What do "organic" and "recycled" mean on our products?

Some of our products are made with organic or recycled materials. Where a product is described this way (marked on the product page), it contains at least 70% organic or recycled materials, or a blend of the two, and the exact material content is listed on that product page. Where a product is certified under one of the standards below, the product page names the certification.

  • GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard): the leading worldwide standard for processing organic textiles, covering ecological and social criteria, with independent third-party certification of the whole supply chain.
  • OCS (Organic Content Standard): confirms the presence of organic material in the final product and tracks it from source to finished item.
  • GRS / RCS (Global Recycled Standard / Recycled Claim Standard): voluntary international standards for third-party certification of recycled content. GRS adds social, environmental and chemical requirements.
Are your products vegan?

Some products are certified PETA-Approved Vegan. When they are, the product page says so. Materials are listed on each product page, including any animal-derived materials such as wool or silk. If you have a question about a specific item, write to us at shop@filipparose.art.

What printing techniques and inks do you use?

Cotton-rich pieces such as t-shirts, hoodies and totes are printed with direct-to-garment (DTG) printing, using Kornit water-based inks certified to ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX®. All-over print pieces such as swimwear, leggings and many home textiles are sublimation-printed, with inks also certified to ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX®. Posters are printed with Epson UltraChrome inks that are GREENGUARD Gold certified.

Some fabrics are certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, which means every component has been tested for harmful substances. Where that applies, the product page names it. This is a product-safety label, not an environmental one.

How are orders packaged, and is the packaging recyclable?

Every order is packed to arrive safely. Clothing and textiles travel in mailers made from post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, at least 70% recycled content worldwide and 90–100% in North America. Wall art, mugs and larger items go in cardboard boxes, and posters ship in kraft boxes or stay-flat envelopes. Packaging can vary slightly by facility.

The PCR mailers are made from LDPE (plastic code 4). It's recyclable, but usually at drop-off points such as supermarket collection bins rather than your household recycling, so please check your local guidelines. Cardboard boxes and kraft mailers go in paper recycling.

How do you make sure there's no forced or child labour in the supply chain?

We care about the people behind every piece. Our production partner Printful has a zero-tolerance policy on forced and child labour, assesses supplier risks, and publishes an annual statement under Canada's Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act. You can read Printful's statement here.
